The Medical Tourism Association (Medical Travel Association), also known as the Global Healthcare Association, is the first international non-profit association made up of the top international hospitals, healthcare providers, medical travel facilitators, insurance companies, and other affiliated companies and members with the common goal of promoting the highest level of quality of healthcare to patients in a global environment. The Association promotes the interests of its healthcare provider and medical travel facilitator members. The Medical Tourism Association has three tenets: Transparency, Communication and Education.

--To raise awareness of the high level of quality healthcare available in various countries.
--To promote transparency in quality, pricing and patient safety in regards to the providing of international healthcare services.
--To provide an unbiased source of information and education for patients, insurance companies and employers about top hospitals, their quality of care and outcomes.
--To foster a stable forum for the communication for industry participations.



Medical Tourism is where people who live in one country travel to another country to receive medical, dental and surgical care while at the same time receiving equal to or greater care than they would have in their own country, and are traveling for medical care because of affordability, better access to care or a higher level of quality of care.
